Sagar Watch/ A festival like Diwali is to be celebrated in Sagar Nagar on the day of the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram on 22 January in Ayodhya. For which the women of the National Livelihood Mission Self Help Group are going to every ward and motivating the common citizens to light lamps and burst fireworks at the entrance of every house and shop. She is also requesting to celebrate the death anniversary of Lord Ram in a dignified manner by making rangoli in the courtyard of the house.
She is contacting door to door to welcome Lord Shri Ram by singing auspicious songs at the time of Pran Pratistha in temples and homes. Local citizens and women are also participating in it and are taking pledge to celebrate the Pran Pratistha ceremony with dignity.
The Municipal Commissioner has called for organizing paintings, crafts, small tableaus, spiritual and cultural discussions, dance dramas and bhajan evenings related to Shri Ram-Janaki at public places and intersections in the ward with the help of local artists and institutions.

In this play, on the one hand, where the traditional marriages of Bundelkhand and the circumstances arising out of them have been cooked in a syrup of humour and sarcasm, on the other hand, some evils inherent in these traditions have also been pointed out.
It has also been told through many circumstances in the play that life is not just the name of happiness, but the definition of life is complete by mixing both happiness and sorrow and this is also the reality.
Traditional Bundeli wedding songs and other songs have also been given a place in the play. Bundeli songs have been adapted into the play by rendering them live from the stage. The play has been written and directed by Jagdish Sharma. The play has a cast of about twenty actors.

In the 30-day National Theater Workshop organized under the joint aegis of Rang Theater Forum Sagar and National School of Drama, Delhi, the participants are learning the nuances of theater as well as music.
Rang director Manish Bohre told that along with Anant Gundeja, who has come from Bhopal, in a three-hour class every day from 10 am to 1 pm, the participants are being taught the ascension of voices, riyaz of sargam as well as some traditional bandishes easily.
According to Mr. Bohre, Anant Gundeja is the son of Padma Shri late Shri Ramakant Gundicha. Who is continuously taking forward his musical heritage and giving presentations of Dhrupad singing in the country and abroad with his elder father Umakant Gundeja.

SAGAR WATCH/ National School of Drama Delhi in association with Rang Theater Forum Sagar is going to organize 30 days National Theater Workshop. This national workshop, which is going to start from 27 February, will continue till 27 March.
From across the country, 380 participants applied for the Rang workshop. Out of which 20 participants were selected. For the next 30 days, these participants will understand and learn the nuances of theatre in a very disciplined environment with eminent theatre workers of Indian theatre.
The main purpose of organizing such workshops is to make the talents of the small and big cities of the country away from Delhi aware of the very conscious and serious training of theatre so that the talented youth can understand the comprehensive training of theatre.
In this workshop, the participants will understand the four types of acting according to the Indian theatre tradition - Angik, Bachik, Satvik and Aharik as well as modern colour traditions.
The workshop training will be based on a thorough, comprehensively planned curriculum. In which every aspect of theatre is included. A skit will also be prepared during the training. Whose performance will be in front of the audience at the end of the workshop.
Significantly, the National School of Drama Delhi is one of the leading theatre training institutes in the world, established in 1959 by the Sangeet Natak Akademi. In 1975, it became an independent body.
Fully funded by the Ministry of Culture, this institute has given the country and the world well-known actors and theatre gurus, including Ompuri, Nasruddin Shah, Govind Namdev, Bansi Kaul, Ratan Thiyam, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Pankaj Tripathi and many eminent personalities. Sagar Watch/ Under the joint aegis of the National School of Drama Delhi and Rang Theater Forum Sagar, a drama workshop is being organized from 27 February to 27 March. Auditions are over for this 30-day workshop.
In the workshop participants came from Sagar, Indore, Bhopal, Shajapur, and Damoh from Madhya Pradesh. On February 19, 130 online and offline auditions of about 50 participants were taken.
Sangeet Srivastava, secretary of Rang Theater Forum and camp director of Rang workshop, said that a total of 350 forms have been received for the theatre workshop.
The selected participants will be taught the nuances of theatre from February 27 for one month by the current teachers and alumni of the National School of Drama, Delhi.
The selection list will be released on social media. Director of Rang Theater Forum, Manish Bohre told that at the end of the workshop, a 3-day theatre festival will be organized.
In which three plays will be presented. Seeing the interest of the youth in the field of theatre in Sagar, we will try to organize a big workshop every year for one month in Sagar.
In which senior and famous coloured workers of the country will be invited. So that the young artists of Sagar can get a chance to learn the nuances of theatre.
SAGAR WATCH/ National School of Drama (NSD) will organize the 22nd edition of the Bharat Rang Mahotsav(BRM), (BRM), 2023 from 16th to 26th February 2023. The prestigious international theatre festival will be held in Delhi, Jaipur, Rajahmundry, Ranchi, Guwahati, Jammu, Srinagar, Bhopal, Nashik and Kevadia. The closing ceremony will be in Kevadia on the 26th of February.
The 22nd Bharat Rang Mahotsav will embrace an exuberant display of plays and cultural performances, and multiple thematic panel discussions of the global and strategic importance of theatre in global perspective.
Theatre is the oldest and most effective form of art traditions for communicating human emotions in a way that transcends from older times to the present era.
Briefing the media in the NSD premises in Delhi, today, Director, NSD, Prof (Dr) Ramesh Chandra Gaur, informed that in the present edition of BRM, “We have scrutinised a list of top-notch plays, selecting from 960 submissions, including international entries.
Delhi is hosting 10 traditional performances in this festival. The Institution seeks to nurture the growth of new folk talents through the platform of the 22nd BRM.So we have managed to accommodate as many young theatre aficionados as possible.”
Dr Ramesh also said that collaboration has been made with the institutes in the different states in which the plays will be held. This will ensure that local artists are involved and the plays attract the local populace.
The director informed that along with the plays, there will be other allied activities like launching books, Director’s meet, National & International Seminar and Master class by the stalwarts from the field of the theatre community.
With over 100 theatre companies attending the festival annually, the Bharat Rang Mahotsav has carved a niche for itself.
He also informed that it is a one-of-a-kind theatre fair featuring live theatre as well as exhibitions, Director’s - audience conversations, symposiums, and seminar programmes on various theatre-related topics.
The Bharat Rang Mahotsav aims to strengthen international tie-ups and cultural exchange programmes with other Nations.
It builds a platform to explore more about the theatre traditions across the country. Not just artists, but also the noted directors will be attending the grand festival.
The National School of Drama had last organized Bharat Rang Mahotsav in July 2022 under the "Azadi Segment" of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, to commemorate and pay its tribute to the martyrs of our motherland.

The play is authored by film and theatre actor Piyush Mishra, an alumnus of the National School of Drama and directed by Aditya Nirmalkar, an alumnus of theatre from the Central University of Hyderabad, who hails from Sagar.

Since the artist's means of livelihood is only his art, it is not possible for every artist to go to Mumbai or other places. Therefore, Raavan Films is giving a platform to the artists taking initiative in this direction. The web series and short films in Sagar were also produced by Ravan Films in the past. In which local artists were given an opportunity, which will soon be released on various film festivals and OTT platforms.
The economic side also plays an important role in such an event. For which many sponsors of our city made their significant contribution in making the event a success. Without these sponsors, it was difficult for us to give this program such height, he added.

The performance of the play will be held on 23rd March 2019 at 7:30 pm at the Golden Jubilee Auditorium, University Sagar. Admission to this is completely free but a pass will be compulsory for admission.

The members of the organization appealed to all the devotees of the city to follow the Corona Guideline, adding that the organization has especially provided facemasks for all the devotees at the royal procession of Baba Bholenath. The Jai Mahakal Hindu organization invited all the townspeople through the media and also appealed to bring a saffron flag with them.
