The 34th meeting of the Executive Committee of Government Bundelkhand Medical College was concluded on Friday under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Dr. Virendra Singh Rawat.

In the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner gave instructions to immediately start the process of filling the vacant posts of various faculty in Bundelkhand Medical College and issue advertisements. Also asked to immediately repair the wear and tear in the hostels of the medical college including the hospital.

In the meeting, Dean Dr. RS Verma gave information regarding the decision of the last meeting. Dr. Hemlata Patel, Accounts Officer of the Medical College, presented the details of the actual income and expenditure for the financial year 2023-24, which was passed by the committee.

While briefing to media about his visit, Commissioner told that the study of death due to COVID infection revealed that there were about 24 such people who did not reach the hospital on time. They underwent treatment in another hospital. Apart from this, some such deaths have also occurred. In which the patient already had diseases like cancer, heart attack, blood pressure and asthma. Now it has been instructed that the medical history of the COVID patient should also be arranged immediately so that the related disease can also be treated.

However, there has been continuous improvement in health services in BMC. The causes of COVID patients' death are constantly being reviewed. The fears of patients and common citizens are high. While better treatment is being done here. At present, successful efforts have also been made to get the patient rid of fear and anxiety. added Commissioner Jain.

He said that a help desk has been set up for communication between the patient and family so that people do not worry. The family and the patient are being communicated through Video Conferencing.

The Commissioner has directed that Collector-Dean-CMHO should discuss regular matters like COVID with regard to COVID arrangements. So that we can get rid of this infection. He also informed that The BMC has a system of direct oxygen at 390 beds. It is being increased to 660 beds.

After conducting an inspection of Virology Lab, Auditorium and the patient admitted in Wards and Private Wards, Commissioner Jain, gave necessary guidelines to BMC Dean Dr GS Patel .

During the inspection of the Medical College, the Commissioner Mr Jain reached the Microbiology Lab and got information from Dr Sumit Rawat about the Corona infection testing happening there. He instructed that efforts should be made that no sample could be rejected. Commissioner JK Jain also inspected the toilets of the Corona ward. He informed that the toilets of Kovid ward are sanitized after every use.
