Sagar Watch News/ New Delhi/ During her visit to the national capital, Sagar MP Dr. Lata Wankhede called on Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah and discussed regional development, organisational strengthening and various public welfare issues.
She also sought guidance on the effective implementation of welfare schemes being run by the Madhya Pradesh government and the state’s upcoming action plans.
Prioritising the prosperity of the Sagar Lok Sabha constituency and the welfare of farmers, Dr. Wankhede also met Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil. In the meeting, she held detailed discussions on the region’s comprehensive development strategy and future plans.
The MP urged the expansion of the Ken-Betwa Link Project, stressing the need to enhance irrigation facilities across all Assembly segments of the constituency to ensure 100 per cent irrigation coverage for farmers.
She stated that her goal is to ensure adequate water supply to every farmer’s field, strengthen agriculture, promote water conservation, and accelerate economic growth in the region.
