In a dramatic late-night operation reminiscent of the infamous blackbuck poaching case involving Bollywood actor Salman Khan, the Madhya Pradesh Forest Department carried out a major action in the early hours of December 5, 2025. 

Acting on suspicion, the night patrol team of Rahatgarh range intercepted two vehicles — a Mahindra Bolero (MP15-BA-0460) and a Hyundai i20 (MP40-ZD-6443) — in forest compartment P.F. 622 of Berkhedi Beat around 3:00 AM.

What followed unfolded like a sensational wildlife crime thriller.

The district police received information from the informer that opium was being cultivated in the fields of Jaisinagar police station. 

The department formed a team under the leadership of Deori SDOP Shashikant Saryam to verify the matter. In which in-charges of Rahatgarh and Jaisinagar police stations were also included. 

The investigation team raided the fields of Charan Lal Kachhi of village Mankyai under Jaisinagar police station. Here the team initially saw that onion and wheat were being cultivated in the field, but on closer inspection it was found that opium plants were also being grown under the cover of onion plants.

Police investigation team inspected the field and seized 740 opium plants.The total weight of the seized plants was found to be 53 kg 700 grams. Whose market price was estimated to be approximately Rs 1,10,000.

After the action, under the supervision of Jaisinagar police station in-charge Shivmangal Singh Rathod, crime number 81/24 section 8/18 NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and taken up for investigation.

The district police arrested three people including a couple under Deori police station and recovered 35 grams of smack worth about Rs 4 lakh from them.

According to Deori police station in-charge Rohit Dongre, after receiving information from the informer, Mannu Lodhi, aged 35 years, resident of village Beldhana, was arrested. 

A total of drugs worth 15.52 grams were seized from his possession. Whose price in the market is said to be around Rs 1 lakh 55 thousand. Apart from this, a mobile phone was also found from the accused. The accused is being identified as a drug dealer in the area.

A total of 20.35 grams of smack worth about Rs 2 lakh 30 thousand and a car were seized from the possession of accused Pradeep Dubey, age 40, Namrata's husband Pradeep Dubey, age 29, both residents of village Beldhana.

In the above proceedings, Rohit Dongren, Uni. Nishant Bhagat, P.R. Surendra Singh, R. Manish, R. Ashish, R. Lavkush, R. Bhupendra, M.R. Archana, M.R. Archana Javre R Kulwant's role has been commendable.

Sagar Watch/ The court has sentenced a committee manager to ten years' imprisonment and fined about Rs 25 lakh for manipulating the sale amount of chemical fertilizer. The judge has written in his judgment that a higher level of morality and honesty is expected from public servants than usual. A public servant with corrupt conduct is not eligible for any judicial leniency.

The accused committed criminal misappropriation of entrusted public properties and diverted them for his own use without depositing them in the accounts of the committee. A public servant with corrupt conduct is not entitled to any judicial leniency because he has committed a criminal act.

According to Additional Public Prosecutor Leeladhar Patidar of Indore Prosecution Office, accused Naval Singh, the committee manager of Seva Cooperative Society Limited, Barlai, Saver District Indore, sold chemical fertilizers and Committed criminal breach of trust by misusing his position of trust by not depositing the money in the committee's bank account.

On this charge, Gangacharan Dubey, Tenth Additional Sessions Judge, Indore sentenced accused Naval Singh to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 24,25,048/- for the crime of section 409 IPC and section 420 IPC. 

He was sentenced to 7 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000. Also, out of the above amount of fine, orders have been given to provide the amount of Rs 24,15,048/- to the Service Cooperative Society Limited, Barlai as a consideration for criminal breach of trust by the accused.

According to the prosecution, in relation to the incident between April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019, Omprakash Chauhan, branch manager of Indore Premier Cooperative Bank Limited, Indore, on 05 February 2021, gave a written application in the police station Kshipra that the Service Cooperative Society Limited, affiliated to the institution, According to the audit report of the financial year 2018-19 in Barlai, a shortage of Rs 24,15,048 /- in the chemical fertilizer stock of the institution and financial irregularities have come to light.

For which accused Naval Singh has been found responsible. On the basis of the investigation report of Inspector Vijay Bahadur Mishra, an FIR was registered against the accused in Police Station Kshipra under Section 409, 420 IPC and the investigating inspector G. S. Mahobia submitted the charge sheet after investigation.

Learned counsel on behalf of the accused argued that the accused is a 65 year old citizen being a first offender. He has been facing trial in judicial custody for the last two years. None of his previous convictions has been proved by the prosecution, hence he should be punished with minimum punishment.

On behalf of the prosecution, learned Additional Public Prosecutor Mr. Leeladhar Patidar alleged that the accused cheated Seva Cooperative Society Limited, Barlai and dishonestly induced the society to hand over the property and sold the chemical fertilizer of the society amounting to Rs. 24,15,048/-. It has been requested to be punished with severe punishment for the proven property crime of criminal breach of trust.

The Court, Mr. Ganga Charan Dubey, Tenth Additional Sessions Judge, Indore, found Rs. 24,15,048 deposited by the accused Naval Singh in the office or bank account of the society by selling the chemical fertilizer entrusted to him by the accused Naval Singh in the ordinary course of his business as the committee manager of Seva Co-operative Society Limited, as a public servant. 

He was found guilty of criminal breach of trust by not depositing the sale amount and misusing his trust and converting it for his own use.

He recorded that a higher level of morality and honesty is expected from public servants than usual. 

The accused has committed the criminal act of criminal misappropriation of entrusted public property and criminal breach of trust by diverting it for his own use by not depositing it in the accounts of the committee. 

Due to which a public servant with corrupt conduct is not eligible for any judicial leniency.

Union Home Ministry, Government of India, has honored Additional Superintendent of Police Lokesh Kumar Sinha with the "Home Minister Investigation Excellence Medal". This medal and citation will be presented to Mr. Sinha at the Republic Day function on 26th January in Sagar.

Additional Superintendent of Police Sagar, who received the honour, was at that time posted as Sub-Divisional Officer, Police Bairagarh, Bhopal. During his tenure, a seven-year-old child was kidnapped and brutally murdered. Due to which there was a sensation in the state capital.

The investigation in the said crime was handed over to Lokesh Kumar Singh, then posted as Sub-Divisional Officer, Police Bairagarh. Shri Sinha arrested the accused in the murder case within 24 hours, collected all types of physical evidence, circumstantial evidence and technical evidence and immediately presented the challan before the Bhopal court. In which the accused has been sentenced to triple life imprisonment by the court. He has received this honor for this excellent analysis.

Lokesh Kumar Sinha has been congratulated by the Inspector General of Police, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Superintendent of Police and other senior police officers on receiving the medal and citation from the Government of India.

National Police Meet- Crime rate decreases 19 per cent in MP in 2022

Sharing with each other the methods of action against problems like terrorism, naxalism and corruption in the All India Police Duty Meet today will help the police to take effective action on these problems. In comparison to the previous year, there has been a decrease of 19 percent in the total crimes in the year 2022.

Along with the eradication of dacoity, there is a continuous campaign against Naxalism. During the anti-Naxal operations conducted in the year 2022, during the last 6 months from June to December, 6 Naxalites carrying a reward of Rs 114 lakh were neutralized. For the first time in the 32 years of Naxal history, such a huge success was achieved in the anti-Naxal campaign. Women's police stations are operational in all the districts. Now 950 Mahila Urja Desks are functional.

Shri Singh said that all these competitions are very contemporary and useful from the point of view of upgradation of skills in police research system by rising above victory and defeat. He hoped that all the participants would make new records by participating in the competitions with full dedication and concentration. At the same time, he expressed confidence that there will be no let down in respect and honor of the policemen.

Director General of Police Sudhir Saxena said that before this two police duty meetings have been held in Madhya Pradesh. The common problems of the police of different states are discussed in the meet. Share each other's good works. All the competitions that will be held in the Police Duty Meet are related to daily tasks.

SagarWatch@ In Sagar district, a case of illegal recovery by police in the name of checking vehicles at four-lane has come up. , a probationary sub-inspector posted in the Deori police station area of the district, was checking the sand-filled dumpers without any order.

According to Viral WhatsApp message, when alleged culprit SI asked for 50 thousand rupees from a dumper driver, he got upset and gave a call directly to SP Atul Singh and got him talking. The SP suspended him over the phone. It is said that the Investigator SI Vivek Sharma was demanding 50 thousand rupees from the villagers from the sand-loaded dumpers on Dongar Salaiya Road, 10 km from Deori. On the spot, truckers have complained to Sagar Superintendent of Police Atul Singh.

Some people also made video audio by chance. And discussed with SP. Angered by this act, the Superintendent of Police suspended him and instructed to vacate the place in 5 minutes. It also said that if he did not leave the place in 5 minutes, they would also get him arrested in 151.

In the viral audio, the Superintendent of Police asked on what basis he was investigating the trucks without any orders during the probation period. When SP questioned him, he could not give any answer to this matter. SI Vivek Sharma said that a truck filled with sand was going in front of him, on which he has acted.

On this kind of arbitrary action during the probation period, SP Singh has spoken about complaining this matter at the police headquarters as well as the action to get him sacked from the service. Superintendent of Police Atul Singh even said that you are a stigma in the name of the Police Department.

Sub Inspector Vivek Sharma was not giving any kind of information in the video made on the spot. A police constable was present throughout. He reached his private vehicle for checking. Three sand-loaded dumpers were stopped.
