The district police received information from the informer that opium was being cultivated in the fields of Jaisinagar police station. 

The department formed a team under the leadership of Deori SDOP Shashikant Saryam to verify the matter. In which in-charges of Rahatgarh and Jaisinagar police stations were also included. 

The investigation team raided the fields of Charan Lal Kachhi of village Mankyai under Jaisinagar police station. Here the team initially saw that onion and wheat were being cultivated in the field, but on closer inspection it was found that opium plants were also being grown under the cover of onion plants.

Police investigation team inspected the field and seized 740 opium plants.The total weight of the seized plants was found to be 53 kg 700 grams. Whose market price was estimated to be approximately Rs 1,10,000.

After the action, under the supervision of Jaisinagar police station in-charge Shivmangal Singh Rathod, crime number 81/24 section 8/18 NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and taken up for investigation.
