SagarWatch@ The chain of MP ministers and top officials coming under the grip of corona infection does not seem to stop. According to the latest information, after the Urban Administration Minister of MP and the Inspector General of Police at the Divisional Headquarters of Bundelkhand, his son has also become corona positive.

Apart from getting infected by Urban Administration Minister Bhupendra Singh Corona, his wife also came positive three days ago. On Monday, about 7 other people of Minister Singh's staff, including two sons of IG, three employees of the commissioner's bungalow, 224 reports have come out positive.

Urban administration minister Bhupendra Singh, who has always been vigilant about the rescue from Corona, keeping the distance in masks and reconciliation, has finally succumbed to the corona infection. The report came back positive after the RTPCR investigation in BMC. He himself has tweeted this information. There are 8 names in the list of his staff and other families. Minister Singh also attended a virtual review meeting by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh along with today's commissioner Mukesh Shukla, Collector Deepak Singh and SP Atul Singh.

SagarWatch@ The posts of Chief Municipal Officer are lying vacant in fifty bodies located in six districts of Sagar division of Bundelkhand and are running on the trust of the in-charges. The situation is that in some Municipality and  Municipal Council, for the last four years, a Deputy Engineer has been in charge of the CMO. Somewhere the clerk has been appointed and the Accountant in-charge CMOs have been sitting.

 In Damoh district, the situation is also similar, where Deputy Commissioner, Kapil Khare, who has been posted in Damoh Municipality for years, has been working as CMO in charge since 8th November 2016 and is also looking after the work of Patharia Municipal Council in Hata Municipality. Sushil Agarwal is in charge as CMO.

In Panna district the Municipal Council is running by Accountant, City Council in Karkhati by Assistant Revenue Inspector, City Council Amanganj and Municipal Council Powai by Revenue Sub Inspector.

In Chhatarpur district, Municipality Naugaon is running by the Revenue Inspector, the Municipality Maharajpur by the Revenue Sub Inspector. In Harpalpur and Garhi Malhra the city council is running by assistant grade 1level employee. The Revenue Sub-Inspector in the Municipal Council Chandla and Barigarh while Assistant Revenue Officer-in-charge in Rajnagar. Accountant Lakhan Tiwari is also enjoying the charge of the CMO at City council Khajuraho. The Municipal Council is sitting as chief clerk cum accountant in Bara Malhara.

In Tikamgarh district -Revenue sub-inspector in Ghwara, Assistant Grade 1 in charge at Bakswaha. Health officer has been given the charge of Chief Municipality Officer in the city council KARI. Revenue Sub-Inspector in BadaGaon, Revenue Sub-Inspector in Kharagpur, Assistant Grade 2 in Palera, Revenue Sub-Inspector in Jatara, Assistant Grade 2 in Lidhaura Khas, Revenue Sub-Inspector in Prithvipur, Revenue Inspector in Niwari, Revenue Sub-Inspector in Tarikarachala and City Council Revenue Sub-Inspector in Orchha, He has been running under the charge of Chief Municipal Officer for two and a half years. In the remaining municipalities and municipal councils, the Chief Municipal Officer selected from the Public Service Commission is posted.

Due to the post lying vacant of Chief Municipal Officer, the officers in charge keep getting arbitrary. Which also has an impact on the development works of the bodies and the work of governance is not possible and due to complaints of inferior material in construction works, quality works are also not completed.

Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Bhupendra Singh has said that all cities of the state should be made garbage free. No heaps of garbage should be seen in any city. He said that the urban bodies will be ranked on the basis of work done by them from August 16 to 30 in the “Gandagi Bharat Chhodo-Madhya Pradesh” campaign.
 Urban bodies that get good ranking will be honoured. Shri Singh said that the ranking should be done by an agency or team of officials of the Directorate of Urban Administration and Development.
Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Singh said that programmes related to cleanliness should be organized every day in different districts during the campaign, which will be launched from August 16 to 30. Public representatives should also be invited in these programmes.
 He said that they should undertake activities that people should also feel that something different is happening. Plans should be made in a week for small towns and other cities where there is no system of garbage disposal. Setting up of plants on PPP mode or government level for waste management should be considered.

People-getting-careless-about-covid-threat-Bhupendra-Singh

SagarWatch@ The Urban Development and Housing Minister said that the Covid-19  infection is increasing but people are becoming careless. Masks are the simplest and cheapest way to avoid corona. Mask banks will be set up in all the bodies in collaboration with donors and voluntary organizations, added Singh.

According to Mr Singh, people will be able to donate masks for the bank and from there, private organizations and citizens can get masks. Masks will also be provided at major intersections. 

While highlighting the importance of masks he shared his experience that even after coming in contact with many corona infected people, only masks and gloves saved him from infection. He told that he had gone through corona test twice.

Use Masks To avoid Covid-19: Run more awareness campaign in cities

The Covid-19 spread in urban areas is more, so the role of urban bodies is important. To enhance awareness among people vehicle rally are being taken out in several bodies including Bhopal, Indore and Sagar, Said Singh.

Mr Singh said that a committee of 21 volunteers will be formed in all the wards of urban bodies. The committee members will go every nook and corner of the city to distribute pamphlets to citizens along with advising them to drink hot water, not use cool things and apply masks when they get out of the house and follow social distancing. Mr Singh urges authorities that the campaign should be widely publicized through print, electronic and social media.
   

Use Masks To avoid Covid-19: Kill-Corona Campaign Phase 2 will last till 14th August

Mr Singh said that the Kill Corona campaign - two will continue till August 14. He said that all together have made good efforts to prevent corona infection, but the challenge is yet to come. Urban bodies should take lead in this campaign. He said that as per the intention of the Chief Minister, add a chain of resolution and break the chain of Corona, said Singh.

Addressing officers, employees and social organizations present in Sagar Smart City office, Cabinet Minister (Urban Development and Housing Department) Bhupendra Singh gave information about the Kill Corona campaign to be held from 01 August to 15 August through video conference. Along with this, a mask being run, showing the green flag to many life campaign awareness chariots, was sent for publicity in the city.

Smart-Cities-should-be-developed-from-their-own-financial-resources-Bhupendra Singh

SagarWatch@ Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Singh said that smart cities should make their own financial resources. He said that smart cities should be developed from their own financial resources. Shri Singh said that all projects should be completed within time-limit. He also appreciated the work done in Indore Smart City.

Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Bhupendra Singh said that 
special attention should be paid to greenery in the smart city area. There should be no less than 17 percent green belt as per the prescribed guide-line. Mr. Singh said that commercial complexes or shops should not be built by the Smart City Company. Perform the task of  smart city infrastructure development.

Shri Singh said that the incubation centre like the one in Bhopal Smart City, should be set up in other smart cities as well. Shri Singh was reviewing the works of Bhopal, Indore and Gwalior Smart City through video conferencing on Thursday.


The Urban Development and Housing Minister said that the Commissioner Urban Administration and Development should go to Gwalior to inspect the works of Smart City. He said that the work of Gwalior Smart City should be expedited. Shri Singh said that all projects should be completed within time-limit.

Shri Singh appreciated the work done in Indore Smart City. He said that work like Indore should also be done in other smart cities. In the meeting, CEOs of Smart City Bhopal, Indore and Gwalior gave information about the works being done and upcoming projects. He also spoke about revenue generating measures.
