SagarWatch@ When prayers are endless, medicines also show their effect as fast. This is what happened to BMC Assistant Professor Dr Satyendra Mishra with millions of prayers. For almost 12 days, Dr Mishra, admitted to Yashoda Hospital, Hyderabad, has gone out of ICU to go to respiratory (respiratory unit) and everything is fine. He will be discharged from May 6-7.

Presently, the Bundelkhand region is reeling through the worst ever conditions caused by Corona. During the last 24 hours,  more than two dozen patients, have reportedly died in Bundelkhand Medical College alone,. Most of these were admitted to Covid Hospital. It is alleged that freezers of Mortuary are defective. There are no other arrangements available to protect the dead bodies from rot. Due to chaos and non-cooperation, Dr Shailendra Patel, the in-charge Mortuary, who was involved in the management of dead bodies, has resigned from his post.

According to sources, BMC has 4 freezers to store dead bodies in the Mortuary. But they have been closed for several months. They were repaired earlier, but repairs were not paid. Even a few days ago, the staffer came in to revamp the freezer but went back due to not being given a work order in writing by the HOD of the Department of Forensic Medicine. Arrears were also not paid.

Desperate due to the inaction of other members of the dead body management committee and not having the freezer repaired despite repeated complaints, he has resigned from the responsibility of the dead body management and morgue.

In the case, BMC Dean Doctor RS Verma says that a new freezer has been ordered. Old ones are also being repaired.

MLA Shailendra took up the matter of starting super speciality services at the Bundelkhand Medical College, Sagar through a call to attention in the Vidhan Sabha.

On which the Minister of Medical Education gave approval and said that we will start a cath lab in Bundelkhand Medical College very soon and the Blood Bank of the Medical College will also be started soon. Apart from this, we have sent a proposal for the PG of Medicine and Surgery course Doctors  Shortage Work will be completed soon.

MLA Jain said that after a long time in the state, Bundelkhand Medical College was formed and it was established with the objective of providing proper treatment to the patients in this whole Bundelkhand covering a large area. But after 11 years. Even then, in the absence of super-specialist services, the above departments are getting almost first aid.

He told that Bundelkhand Medical College, located at the divisional headquarters, Sagar, attracts thousands of patients daily, but in the absence of super speciality facilities such as cardiology, cardio surgery, nephrology, neurology, neurosurgery, gastrology, gastro surgery, pediatric surgery Due to lack of departments, the people of Bundelkhand do not get proper treatment.

For this, they have to go out, which has a financial and mental impact on the patients and the families of the patients, due to the lack of benefits of these departments, there is dissatisfaction among the people of the area.

 BMC-MTA -Felicitated-Corrona-Warriors

SagarWatch@   During the COVID-19 Pandemic, all the corona warriors employed in BMC, who have been offering their excellent services for the last 6 months relentlessly. To appreciate the services of all of them and to boost their morale, the Medical Teacher Association has started the Corona Warriors' honour program.

The MTA president said that under this program, honours will be given every month from among the health workers working in the BMC for their outstanding service. Staff nurse Aarti Raut from ICU, Ward Boy Suraj Soni from Radiology has been selected for the month of September.

In the presence of MTA President Dr Sarvesh Jain, selected health workers were honoured by Superintendent Dr Rajesh Jain, Department of Medicine, Dr Ramesh Pandey, Dr Ravikant Argeria, Dr Punya Pratap with a shawl, shriphal and cash amount.
