With the launch of three new mobile applications—Inspection App, Moisture Measurement App, and Fumigation App—the state aims to make grain storage transparent, efficient, and corruption-free.
These apps will digitally monitor activities previously handled manually, helping ensure citizens receive safe and high-quality food grains. Experts say this initiative reflects the future of food storage: technology-driven, real-time monitored, and fully accountable systems.

Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Minister, during the launch event in Gwalior, said the government’s priority is ensuring the public receives high-quality grains. Every step—from warehouse inspection to moisture testing and fumigation—will now be digitally recorded and tracked.
“There will be zero compromise on transparency, quality, and accountability,” Rajput said.
How the New Apps Will Work
1. Inspection App
This app will ensure real-time and location-based monitoring of warehouses.

Inspections will happen according to a schedule created by the Bhopal headquarters.

One warehouse branch will be inspected by officers from another branch to ensure cross-verification.

The app will only allow uploads when the officer is physically within 100 meters of the warehouse—ensuring genuine on-site inspections.

Photo evidence and digital entries will automatically upload to a central portal.

2. Moisture Measurement App
Grain moisture levels are critical to prevent spoilage. So far, this was recorded manually—leaving room for errors.
With the new system:

A Digital Moisture Meter will record moisture from three layers — the top, middle, and bottom of the grain stack.

Monthly moisture reports will be stored in real-time on the app.

Digital receipts from the meter must be uploaded as proof.
District managers will also be able to directly share this data with the Food Corporation of India (FCI).

3. Fumigation App
Fumigation protects stored food grains from pests and insects.

Every step—from covering the stock to spraying chemicals and removing covers—must be photographed and logged.

The stock cannot be issued unless the fumigation is confirmed successful in the app.
