Sagar Watch/ Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Dr Virendra Kumar K said that two hostels of 100 seats each have been approved for Scheduled Caste students in Dr Harisingh Gour Central University, Sagar.
He informed that a centre of excellence will also be set up in Sagar University, where SC students will be trained to prepare for competitive exams like PSC and UPSC.
An amount of Rs 7500000 will be provided annually for this centre by the Central Government. Virendra Kumar told that it is also proposed to build a park for the disabled in Sagar, for which an amount of ₹ 110000000 is being approved. A proposal is being sought from the district administration to provide proper space for the park.
In response to a question, Union Minister Virendra Kumar said that according to the time and situation, the cabinet of the central and state government is reshuffled, and the decision of such change is taken by the higher-level people sitting in the government and the organization. I have no knowledge about this.
On Sunday morning, on behalf of his department, he also distributed tricycles to the disabled at the local circuit house. Virendra Kumar had come to attend the inaugural function of the Alumni Meet organized at Dr Harisingh Gaur Central University as the chief guest. The registrar in charge of the university Santosh Sah Gora met him, during this BJP leader Jinesh Sahu, UBS Gaur Hargovind Vishwa Mukesh Sahu and others were also present.
