Minister Praises Yogacharya's Contribution
๐Renowned yoga guru Vishnu Arya has been unwell for the past few days. On Saturday, State Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Govind Singh Rajput visited his residence to enquire about his health.
The minister gathered details of the ongoing treatment and wished him a speedy recovery. Praising Arya’s invaluable contribution to the field of yoga, Rajput also discussed yoga-related initiatives. Arya’s sons, journalist Vinod Arya and Subodh Arya, along with other family members, were present during the visit.
๐A mega marathon was organised under the “Health Awareness and Swachh Bharat Marathon” jointly by the Indian Medical Association, Sagar, and the Sagar Municipal Corporation. The run was flagged off from the sports complex by 100-year-old freedom fighter Tarachand Jain.

Pratibha Rai Suspende
๐Acting on the orders of Collector Sandeep G.R., action has been taken against Pratibha Rai, a middle school teacher at Government Secondary School Kirond, Bina block, after a video went viral on the Bhaskar app.
In the video dated December 11, 2025, she allegedly claimed involvement in illegal sand mining across Sagar district and links with a private company. A preliminary inquiry confirmed the recording, following which she was suspended with immediate effect.

The annual foundation festival and community feast (Bhandara) of Shri Paramhans Ashram Amrit Jhiriya, located near Deorikalan in Sagar district, will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025.The occasion marks the arrival of Paramhans Swami Shri Muktanand Ji Maharaj at Amrit Jhiriya on December 22, 1997. As part of the five-day celebrations, the Shri Gita Gyan Yagya began on December 18 following Vedic rituals, conducted by Yagyacharya Pandit Chandramauli Pandey Ji. The Purnahuti, grand Bhandara, and a spiritual discourse from 1 pm to 3 pm will be held on December 22.

Demands FIR Against Police Officers
๐Former Madhya Pradesh minister Surendra Chaudhary has written to Sagar Superintendent of Police Vikas Sehwal and City SP Ajay Kumar Sankat, demanding FIRs against police station in-charges prima facie involved in illegal liquor trade, gambling, betting, and drug-related activities.
He alleged inaction despite verified complaints and chief ministerial directions. Chaudhary expressed concern over possible evidence tampering and lack of impartial inquiry, seeking strict action against guilty officers or transfer of the entire probe to the CBI.

๐Spiritual leader Saint Shri Chinmayanand Bapu arrived in Sagar amid a grand procession marked by decorated four-wheelers, open jeeps, DJs and traditional drum beats.
The floral-adorned cavalcade moved through major city routes before concluding at the discourse venue. Devotees offered garlands, performed aarti and showered petals along the way.
From December 15 to 21, Bapu will deliver daily Shrimad Bhagwat Katha discourses from 2 pm to 5 pm at the ground near the sports complex.
Kshatriya Mahasabha Meets
๐Rangir: Former Home Minister and Khurai MLA Bhupendra Singh called for steering society towards religion, culture and values, while keeping youth away from addiction, at a District Kshatriya Mahasabha meeting.
He stressed education, simplicity and support for girls’ hostels at the tehsil and block levels. Singh announced ₹5 lakh for the construction of Rangir’s Gufa Temple and released a community matrimonial magazine. Over 1,500 community members attended the meeting.
Jain School Alumni Reunion
๐An alumni reunion was held for students who studied at Jain Higher Secondary School between 1972 and 1977 on the school campus. Veteran teachers M.L. Jain and O.P. Richharia were honoured.
Former student and Deori MLA Brij Bihari Pateria recalled his school days and announced ₹5 lakh from his MLA fund for the school. Alumni collectively donated ₹51,000 for construction work. Teachers blessed the gathering, attended by alumni from across India.
National Seminar
๐Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Government Arts and Commerce (Model) College, Sagar, will host a national seminar on “Environmental Challenges and Sustainable Development” on Monday, December 15, from 11 am.

Manglik Bhavan For Kshatriyas
๐A Manglik Bhawan of the Rajput Kshatriya community was inaugurated in Dharam Shri Ambedkar Ward after completion at a cost of about ₹35 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Special Fund, following efforts by MLA Shailendra Kumar Jain.
The ceremony was attended by BJP district president Shyam Tiwari, Municipal Corporation chairman Vrindavan Ahirwar and community leaders. MLA Jain highlighted the community’s legacy of bravery and sacrifice and reaffirmed continued efforts to meet social infrastructure needs.
๐The 79th Home Guard and Civil Defence Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at the Home Guard Line in Sagar. Disaster management equipment was also showcased.

๐Assistant Director of Public Education Mritunjay Kumar conducted a surprise inspection at Government High School Menpani on Monday, reviewing academic and administrative arrangements.
