The Madhya Pradesh government has extended the last date for farmer registration for wheat procurement at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for the Rabi Marketing Year 2026–27 to March 10, 2026, from the earlier deadline of March 7.
In the district, 104 registration centres at service cooperative societies and 413 centres, including MP Online, Common Service Centres, kiosks, and cyber cafes, have been set up. So far, 48,765 farmers have registered.

Farmers can register free through mobile, computer, gram panchayat facilitation centres and cooperative societies.

Registration is also available at MP Online kiosks, CSCs and cyber cafes with a ₹50 fee.

Sharecroppers, tenant farmers and forest rights holders must register at cooperative society centres.
An awareness rally and hearing screening camp were organised at the District Hospital in Sagar on Friday to mark World Hearing Day under the National Programme for Prevention and Control of Deafness (NPPCD). The programme was held under the guidance of Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Mamta Timori.

A dedicated Onco-Surgery Ward for cancer patients was inaugurated at Bundelkhand Medical College (BMC), Sagar, marking a major step toward expanding specialised healthcare services. The facility was inaugurated by BMC Dean Dr. P.S. Thakur in the Surgery Department.
Dr. Thakur said the number of cancer surgeries at BMC has been steadily rising, making a dedicated ward essential.
