Minister Praises Yogacharya's Contribution
๐Renowned yoga guru Vishnu Arya has been unwell for the past few days. On Saturday, State Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Govind Singh Rajput visited his residence to enquire about his health.
The minister gathered details of the ongoing treatment and wished him a speedy recovery. Praising Arya’s invaluable contribution to the field of yoga, Rajput also discussed yoga-related initiatives. Arya’s sons, journalist Vinod Arya and Subodh Arya, along with other family members, were present during the visit.
Marathon For “Health Awareness
๐A mega marathon was organised under the “Health Awareness and Swachh Bharat Marathon” jointly by the Indian Medical Association, Sagar, and the Sagar Municipal Corporation. The run was flagged off from the sports complex by 100-year-old freedom fighter Tarachand Jain.
Held in 3 km, 5 km and 10 km categories, the event saw participation of over 5,000 citizens. IMA officials highlighted awareness on cancer prevention, maternal health, tuberculosis, cleanliness and an active lifestyle, while winners were awarded cash prizes, medals and certificates.

๐Ahead of the municipal council president election, intensive administrative and police preparations are underway in the Deori police station area to ensure a peaceful and fair poll.
Senior officials jointly inspected all 30 polling booths, reviewing security arrangements, deployment, sensitive points and law and order. Authorities warned that any intimidation or irregularity will not be tolerated.
All booths have been declared secure, with special monitoring of sensitive areas to enable voters to cast their ballots fearlessly.
Tamrakar Samaj Mahila Cutural Meet
๐A grand New Year meet was organised by the Haihayvanshi Kshatriya Tamrakar Samaj Mahila Mandal, Sagar, at Sahastrarjun Bhagwan Mangal Bhavan in a dignified and festive atmosphere. Sagar MLA Shailendra Kumar Jain and his wife Anu Jain were the chief guests.
The programme, entirely coordinated by women members, featured cultural performances and competitions. The MLA praised women’s leadership and social unity. Meritorious Class 10 and 12 students were also felicitated.
Khelo MP
๐Under the Madhya Pradesh Sports and Youth Welfare Department’s Khelo MP initiative, a prize distribution ceremony was held in Sagar after the conclusion of 20 block-level sports competitions. Sagar MLA Shailendra Kumar Jain attended as chief guest and encouraged the players.
Organised under the guidance of Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav and Sports Minister Vishwas Sarang, the Khelo MP Youth Games involve junior boys and girls in 28 sports. About 900 players from 11 blocks participated, while Sagar will host its first state-level judo event.
