Yuva Utsav- Sagar Universtity grabbed first position in the folk orchestra

Prof. Nilima Gupta, Vice-Chancellor of Dr Harisingh Gour University addressed the participants and winners of Madhya Kshetra Yuva Utsav. He expressed confidence that the winning participants would bring laurels to the university by reaching the national level and winning.

It is noteworthy that a 42-member cultural troupe of Western University, participating in the 5-day long 36th Inter-University Central Zone Youth Festival organized at AKS University, Satna, secured a place in the National Youth Festival by winning in 4 categories.

Dr Rakesh Soni, the coordinator of the University's Cultural Council, said that the University's cultural troupe participated in 26 genres of dance, theatre, music, fine arts and literature.

Out of which the team won the overall championship in theatrical genres along with first in the cultural rally, second in one act, and second in the skit. 

Along with this, he got the first position in the folk orchestra, fourth in group Indian singing, fifth in solo classical recital, third in henna, and fifth in Prashna Manch. 

On the basis of marks obtained in the competition of all disciplines, the university secured the fourth position in the overall championship. 

Dr Rakesh Soni and Yash Srivastava were included in the team as the team in charge. The winning participants of Drama, Skit, Folk Orchestra and Mehndi will represent the University in the National Inter University Youth Festival to be held at Jain University, Bangalore from 24-28 February.
