SAGAR WATCH/ Under the chairmanship of Ram Raghuvanshi, a member of the Indian Animal Welfare Board, New Delhi, a review meeting of Gaushala management was organized in the collectorate hall.

In the meeting, Mr Radyuvanshi said that separate cow sheds should be kept for Nandi. Gaushalas should be given tap connections under Jal Jeevan Mission. So that the cow dynasty does not face any water problems. He said that strict action should be taken against the vehicles used in the smuggling of cattle.

In order to promote economic activities to make cowsheds self-sufficient, the products made in cowsheds should be sold through cooperative agencies, so that the identity of cowsheds can be established at the state level, he added.

Deputy Director Veterinary Services said that in 26 Gaushalas operated under the Mukhyamantri Gauseva Yojana, the number of cows is 5439 and an amount of one crore thirty lakh fifty-three thousand has been given to them. Similarly, there are 11865 cows in 21 non-government cowsheds, and an amount of two crores eighty-four lakh seventy-six thousand has been given to them.

Patel, Municipal Corporation Chairman Shailesh Kesharwani, District Gopalan Samiti's Nodal Officer Dr BS Thakur, District Manager Livelihood Mission Anoop Tiwari, Prashubh Jain, operators of government, non-government cowsheds and representatives associated with the activities of cowsheds and officers of various departments were present.
