Prime Minister Narendra Modi transferred the prize money by pressing the virtual button to 313 panchayats selected for the award out of 74000 panchayats participating in the competition of outstanding panchayats from across the country.

In this competition, Sagar District Panchayat directly received an amount of Rs. 50 lakh along with Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Panchayat Empowerment Award for outstanding work.

To receive the award, at the Sagar district headquarters, the President of the District Panchayat,  Divya Ashok Singh Bamora, Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat Dr Desired Garhpale, Mr Ashok Singh Bamora, Mr Jai Gupta District Technical Specialist were present.

 It is worth mentioning that, on the 24th of April, Panchayati Raj Day is given annually by the Government of India in five categories for the promotion of Gram Panchayats, District Panchayats every year. In Which Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Panchayat Empowerment Award, GPDP Award, Child-Friendly Panchayat Award, Nanaji Deshmukh Panchayat Empowerment Award, e Panchayat Award are based on evaluation of their work in these five categories.

In the virtual program, Union Minister of Panchayati Raj, Narendra Singh Tomar, Honorable Chief Minister M.P. The rule was held in the presence of the Chief Minister of all the states. The program was watched online by around 5 crore people across India. On receiving the award, Collector Deepak Singh District Panchayat President Divya Ashok Singh and Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat Dr Congratulations to all the representatives and officers of the Panchayati Raj district by the Ikshit  Garhpale.
