Sagar Watch News/ Madhya Pradesh Chief Secretary Anurag Jain has directed all divisional commissioners, district collectors and superintendents of police to to eradicate illegal mining activities from the state.
He ordered stringent action against illegal extraction, storage and transportation of minerals, holding district administrations and police accountable for effective enforcement.
Chairing a state-level review meeting through video conferencing, the Chief Secretary also issued strict instructions to ensure immediate and unhindered disbursal of relief amounts to victims of atrocities belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
Stressing top priority, he said no procedural or administrative bottlenecks should be allowed in the distribution process, and concerned officials must ensure timely payments.
During the meeting, Mr. Jain reviewed the district-wise implementation of services under the Public Services Guarantee Act, directing officials to ensure that citizens receive notified services within the stipulated time limits.
He underlined that the Act is meant to guarantee timely service delivery to the public and must be implemented effectively and with measurable outcomes across all districts.
Reviewing agriculture department schemes, the Chief Secretary instructed officials to intensify awareness among farmers against stubble burning, highlighting its environmental and soil-related harms.
He warned that strict action should be taken against violators despite repeated advisories. The meeting also included a comprehensive review of the law and order situation in the state.
