Katha Starting Today

👉Spiritual leader Saint Shri Chinmayanand Bapu arrived in Sagar amid a grand procession marked by decorated four-wheelers, open jeeps, DJs and traditional drum beats. 

The floral-adorned cavalcade moved through major city routes before concluding at the discourse venue. Devotees offered garlands, performed aarti and showered petals along the way. 

From December 15 to 21, Bapu will deliver daily Shrimad Bhagwat Katha discourses from 2 pm to 5 pm at the ground near the sports complex.

Kshatriya Mahasabha Meets

👉Rangir: Former Home Minister and Khurai MLA Bhupendra Singh called for steering society towards religion, culture and values, while keeping youth away from addiction, at a District Kshatriya Mahasabha meeting. 

He stressed education, simplicity and support for girls’ hostels at the tehsil and block levels. Singh announced ₹5 lakh for the construction of Rangir’s Gufa Temple and released a community matrimonial magazine. Over 1,500 community members attended the meeting.

Jain School Alumni Reunion

👉An alumni reunion was held for students who studied at Jain Higher Secondary School between 1972 and 1977 on the school campus. Veteran teachers M.L. Jain and O.P. Richharia were honoured. 

Former student and Deori MLA Brij Bihari Pateria recalled his school days and announced ₹5 lakh from his MLA fund for the school. Alumni collectively donated ₹51,000 for construction work. Teachers blessed the gathering, attended by alumni from across India.

National Seminar

👉Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Government Arts and Commerce (Model) College, Sagar, will host a national seminar on “Environmental Challenges and Sustainable Development” on Monday, December 15, from 11 am. 

Sponsored by the PM-USHA project of the Higher Education Department, the seminar will focus on strategies for environmental conservation. Sagar MLA Shailendra Jain will be chief guest. 

Experts will deliberate on pollution, climate change, biodiversity, water conservation, green technology and environmental laws.

Manglik Bhavan For Kshatriyas

👉A Manglik Bhawan of the Rajput Kshatriya community was inaugurated in Dharam Shri Ambedkar Ward after completion at a cost of about ₹35 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Special Fund, following efforts by MLA Shailendra Kumar Jain. 

The ceremony was attended by BJP district president Shyam Tiwari, Municipal Corporation chairman Vrindavan Ahirwar and community leaders. MLA Jain highlighted the community’s legacy of bravery and sacrifice and reaffirmed continued efforts to meet social infrastructure needs.
