Sagar Watch News/ Municipal Commissioner Rajkumar Khatri has issued orders to implement the new water tax rates effective from November 1, 2025, in compliance with the resolution passed during the Municipal Council’s general meeting held on September 27, 2025.

As per the revised structure:

• Domestic connections:

  • ½ inch (General category): ₹200

  • ½ inch (SC/ST category): ₹125

  • ¾ inch (all categories): ₹1180

  • 1 inch: ₹2100

• Commercial connections:

  • ½ inch: ₹1050

  • ¾ inch: ₹2360

  • 1 inch: ₹4200

• Bulk supply: ₹15 per 1,000 litres

The order also states that water tax rates will increase by 5% every two years.

Commissioner Khatri has instructed the Water Supply and Revenue branches to issue bills as per the revised rates from November 1 and update the demand registers accordingly.
