 The Girls’ Hostel Hostel Day of Dr. Harisingh Gour University was celebrated with enthusiasm at the university’s Golden Jubilee Auditorium. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Y. S. Thakur presided over the event, with Prof. Rashmi Singh as Chief Guest and Dr. S. P. Upadhyay, Prof. D. K. Nema, and Prof. Chanda Ben as special guests.

  • Unity in Diversity” showcased through hostel life: Chief Warden Prof. Ritu Yadav presented the annual report, noting that students from across India bring linguistic and cultural diversity that strengthens unity.

  • Hostel memories as lifelong learning: Registrar Dr. Upadhyay said hostel life teaches culture, unity, and resilience—calling students “the heartbeat of the university.”

  • Hostel as a training ground for life skills: VC Prof. Thakur highlighted that hostel living cultivates cooperation, problem-solving, enjoyment, and personality development, adding, “We may forget our classmates, but never our hostel mates.”

  • Cultural extravaganza: Students delivered mesmerizing performances, including solo and group dances, classical dance, singing, and martial arts. They presented vibrant art forms from Bhojpuri, Kerala, Punjabi, Bundeli, and Gondi traditions, blending folk and modern culture.

  • Participation from multiple hostels: Students from Nivedita, Rani Lakshmibai, and Saraswati hostels participated, supported by women wardens and faculty members.

The evening concluded with the distribution of certificates to winners of first, second, and third place across categories, drawing loud applause from the audience.
