SW News/Bhopal/ Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister has assured that the supply of petroleum products across Madhya Pradesh remains fully normal, dismissing concerns of shortages.
He stated that with adequate crude oil reserves in India, all refineries are operating at full capacity, ensuring the uninterrupted availability of fuel and gas products in the state.
The minister emphasised that there is no disruption in the supply of LPG, petrol, diesel, PNG, or CNG, and appealed to citizens to ignore rumours and avoid panic buying.

Ample Fuel Availability:Sufficient stock of LPG, petrol, diesel, PNG, and CNG is available across Madhya Pradesh, with no supply constraints reported. - Strict Action Against Black Marketing:
- Inspections conducted at 2,693 locations
- 3,552 LPG cylinders seized
- 10 FIRs registered in LPG-related cases
- 666 petrol pumps inspected, with 2 FIRs filed
- Continuous LPG Supply:Domestic consumers are receiving cylinders as per bookings, while commercial supply is being maintained based on priority. Gas bottling plants are operating extended hours to meet rising demand.
- Petrol & Diesel Supply Stable:Oil companies maintain adequate reserves, with continuous supply from depots. Depots are also functioning for longer hours to ensure smooth distribution.
Push for PNG Expansion
- City Gas Distribution (CGD) companies have been directed to set targets for PNG connections over the next 3 months.
- Daily monitoring of applications and connections is being enforced.
- Areas with existing pipelines are being urged to switch to PNG immediately.
- Warning issued: LPG connections may be discontinued within 3 months in areas where PNG is available but not adopted.
Administrative & Infrastructure Measures
- Control rooms are set up to address consumer queries and complaints quickly.
- PNG connections to be provided within 5 days of application in pipeline-covered areas.
- District-level monitoring by officials, including Collectors and Supply Officers.
- Pipeline permissions (RoU) are being granted within 24 hours to accelerate infrastructure rollout.
- Over 10 RoU approvals have already been issued within the stipulated time.
Workforce & Outreach
- Trainees from polytechnics and ITIs to be deployed to boost manpower for CGD companies.
- Awareness campaigns and FAQs on PNG benefits to be prepared and circulated.
- District-wise and locality-based camps to be organised for faster PNG adoption.
The government reiterated its commitment to maintaining a stable fuel supply and cracking down on illegal practices, while accelerating the transition to cleaner energy through expanded PNG infrastructure.
