A three-day reunion of the Subedar/Sub-Inspector Batch 1989–1990 was held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Police Academy (JNPA), Sagar, from January 16 to 18, 2026.

The batch comprised 139 trainee officers, including 25 women and 114 men, who had undergone training at the academy. Sixteen officers have since passed away, while most of the remaining officers attended the reunion with their families.

Meeting after nearly 37 years, the officers fondly recalled their training days and shared emotional moments. Wearing identical tracksuits, they participated in physical training, parade drills, march-past, and sports events, reliving academy traditions.

The program was organised under the guidance of Additional Director General of Police (Training) Rajababu Singh and Inspector General and Sagar Zone Director Himani Khanna, and coordinated by JNPA Deputy Director Lovely Soni.

Senior police officers, retired officials and academy staff were present on the occasion. The officers appreciated the academy’s arrangements and hospitality. Mementos, group photo folders, saplings and copies of the Gita were presented as souvenirs.
