The Madhya Pradesh Government’s Department of Culture, in collaboration with the Archaeological Survey of India and with the support of the Sagar district administration, is organizing the three-day Eran Mahotsav from January 14 to 16, 2026, at the historic Shri Narsimha Temple परिसर, Eran (Bina)

The festival aims to showcase Eran’s rich history, Bundelkhand’s cultural heritage, and Indian traditions through a variety of folk and classical performances. All programmes will begin daily at 5:00 pm.

Director, Culture Department, Mr. N.P. Namdev, said that Eran, located on the banks of the Bina River, holds immense historical and cultural importance. This is the first time the Culture Department is organizing a festival of this scale at Eran.

On the opening day (January 14), performances will include Rai dance by Govind Rajput and team (Ganjbasoda), Badhai dance by Jitendra Shrivastava and team (Sagar), theatrical presentation “Hardaul” by Deep Shikha Manch, and devotional singing by renowned bhajan singer Shehnaz Akhtar from Barghat.

The second day (January 15) will feature Bundeli folk singing by Neelam Tiwari and team (Chhatarpur), a dance-drama by Navdha Kathakalaya, Bhopal, Dhimarai dance by Parmanand Kevat and team (Sironj), and folk singing performances by Dashrathlal Parochi (Guna) and Jittu Khare (Sagar).

On the final day (January 16), audiences will witness traditional Chakri dance by Mamta Devi and team (Rajasthan), Malvi folk dance by Vinita Jain (Ujjain), Bundeli folk singing by Archana Kotarya (Jhansi), and devotional singing by noted bhajan singer Sanjo Baghel from Jabalpur. Entry to the festival will be free for all.
