Sagar Watch News/ In a firm move against administrative carelessness, the Collector and District Election Officer, Mr. Sandeep G.R., has taken strict action against revenue officials found delinquent during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Electoral Roll 2026. The survey, mandated by the Election Commission of India, aims to update and digitize voter lists across the district.

• Action Taken:

  • Show-cause notices have been issued to 3 Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) and 15 Tehsildars for zero progress in their assigned survey zones.

  • Three Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been suspended in Surkhi assembly constituency for prolonged negligence, even after prior warnings.

  Notices have been sent to:

  • SDMs: Manoj Chaurasia (Khurai), Aarti Yadav (Joint Collector & Electoral Registration Officer), and Rohit Verma (Surkhi)

  • Tehsildars: Amber Panthi, Rakesh Kumar Ahirwar, Kamlesh Kumar Satnami, Nirmal Singh Rathore, Harish Lalwani, Preeti Rani Chaurasia, Prem Narayan Singh, Rajesh Kumar Pandey, Mahesh Dubey, Sandeep Tiwari, Devi Prasad Chakrabarti, Mohit Jain, Gyan Chandra Rai

• Ground-Level Accountability:
  BLOs Devendra Chaurasia, Arun Ahirwar, and Kamta Prasad Patel were suspended under Rule 9 of the Madhya Pradesh Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1966. Their actions violated Rule 3 of the MP Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1965, constituting misconduct.

Mr. Sandeep G.R. emphasized the mandatory nature of completing the survey within the stipulated timeframe and warned that any further negligence would invite even stricter disciplinary action.
