Sagar Watch News/ The grand Shrimad Bhagwat Katha began on Wednesday at Dharmashri Balaji Temple, where internationally renowned narrator Indresh Upadhyay Ji Maharaj expressed deep affection for MLA Shailendra Jain and his wife Anu Jain, the chief hosts.
Maharajshri revealed that their devotion created such a bond that he now considers them family—a key emotional highlight of the event. Despite earlier hesitation, he said it was Thakurji’s grace that made this divine Katha possible.
Before the Katha, MLA Jain performed rituals at Balaji Temple and carried the sacred Bhagwat on his head during a majestic procession to the venue.
Maharajshri explained the core essence of Bhagwat—Bhakti, Gyan, Vairagya and Tyag—and stressed that true dharma flows from simplicity and devotion, not difficult rituals. He praised Bundelkhand’s people for their simple and pure-hearted nature.
Senior public representatives, university officials and large numbers of devotees attended the first day of the Katha.
