👉Under the banner of “Mera Yuva Bharat (My Bharat)” and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, a grand Sardar@150 Unity March was organized in Sagar to mark Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th birth anniversary and National Unity Day

The 8-km march promoted national unity, patriotism, and social harmony. MP Dr. Lata Wankhede, MLA Shailendra Jain, and Mayor Sangeeta Tiwari inspired youth participation, while NSS and NCC volunteers showcased patriotic performances celebrating India’s unity and diversity.

👉Municipal Commissioner Rajkumar Khatri on Tuesday directed that commercial tax be levied on building owners renting premises to private schools within the municipal area. 

During inspection, he instructed officials to obtain details of all private schools from the District Education Officer and recover taxes for the operational period. 

Khatri also ordered action against schools lacking fire safety arrangements or Fire NOC, emphasizing that no compromise on students’ safety will be tolerated.

👉Mayor Smt. Sangeeta Tiwari announced that the Aapki Mahapaur Aapke Dwar and Jan Chaupal programs will be held every Wednesday to address citizens’ grievances ward-wise. The initiative begins on November 12 from Dr. Harisingh Gaur and Indranagar wards

Camps will be organized between every two wards to extend benefits of government welfare schemes and resolve public complaints. Citizens can also pay property tax and water tax at the camps. The Mayor urged residents to actively participate and submit applications.

👉On World Education Day, a Legal Awareness and Literacy Camp was organized at Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Government Arts and Commerce College, Sagar, under the aegis of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA). District Judge and DLSA Secretary Ankit Srivastava cautioned students about the legal implications of social media posts that may incite unrest, emphasizing online privacy and responsible use. 

He also explained the POCSO Act, stating that consent below 18 years is legally invalid. Legal Aid Officer Mithlesh Dehriya highlighted that ignorance of the law cannot exempt anyone from punishment and urged awareness of legal responsibilities. 

He illustrated that even a lack of traffic knowledge can lead to heavy compensation in accidents. Principal Dr. Saroj Gupta and faculty members Dr. Amar Kumar Jain, Dr. Sangeeta Mukherjee, and Deepshikha Tripathi were present, with students actively engaging in the interactive session.
