The Madhya Pradesh State Biodiversity Board on Monday organised the District-Level Biodiversity Quiz 2025 at Government Excellence School, Sagar. The event began at 9:30 am with the registration of 74 teams, each comprising three students, representing 64 schools across the district.

Held under the guidance of Chief Conservator of Forests Ripu Daman Singh Bhadoriya, the programme saw significant contributions from DFO Varun Yadav, SDO Rekha Patel (Deori), SDO Vinita Jatav (South Sagar) and forest department staff.
A special arrangement for meals for all participating students and teachers was also made, followed by parallel evaluation led by Beeju Thomas.

The event concluded with cultural performances and the announcement of results. The overall planning was supervised by programme nodal officer and Principal Sudhir Tiwari.
District Science Officer R.P. Agnihotri, who guided the programme and handled prize distribution, thanked all participants and teachers. Rajeev Tiwari conducted the event and encouraged the students throughout.

  • First Prize: Sandipani School, Narayawali – Students: Krishnakant Rajak, Abhishek Kurmi & Vijay Singh Dangi

  • Second Prize: Sandipani School, M.L. Bai No.1, Sagar – Students: Jyoti Lodhi, Prakriti Verma & Nisha Rajak

  • Third Prize: Government Excellence School, Sagar – Students: Krishnakant Dangi, Ishant Kaushik & Palak Sahu

  • SDO Rekha Patel highlighted the urgent need for biodiversity conservation and its real-life relevance.

  • R.P. Agnihotri emphasized that environment protection and biodiversity are inseparable.

  • Nilesh Rajput explained the basics of biodiversity and its critical role in maintaining the food chain.

The event saw notable support from the South Sagar Forest Division, the staff of Excellence School, and contributor Salim Khan. All dignitaries extended congratulations to the students and winners for their enthusiastic participation.
