Sagar Watch News/ Tuesday/ In a decisive move to improve city cleanliness and curb health hazards, the Municipal Corporation of Sagar inspected six large dairies in Tilakganj’s Shukrawari ward.
It directed their operators to relocate outside city limits. Officials warned that First Information Reports (FIRs) will be filed against those who fail to comply.
The dairies inspected included Kanha Dairy, Shankar Gyarsi Dairy, Raju Yadav Dairy, Bablu Yadav Dairy, Tilak Ghoshi Dairy, and Janu Yadav Dairy. During the inspection, the Municipal Commissioner noted severe sanitation issues, with animal dung and wastewater flowing directly into the city’s drainage system.
The accumulation of waste has reportedly caused foul odors, drain blockages, and mosquito infestations, posing significant health risks to residents.
The Commissioner emphasized that relocating dairies is essential for maintaining the city’s cleanliness, beauty, and development, as well as protecting citizens from the dangers of stray animals and related traffic issues. He said the Dairy Relocation Project (Hafsili) will be implemented rigorously to ensure Sagar achieves top rankings in cleanliness.
Reiterating the administration’s commitment, the Commissioner stated that the campaign to make Sagar free from stray animals has been revived and will continue until every dairy within city limits is removed.
The Municipal Corporation also assured full support to cooperative dairy operators, promising assistance with essential needs during relocation.
Meanwhile, officials have been instructed to extend all necessary cooperation to dairy owners who follow relocation directives and to take strict legal action against those who resist.
