“Hindi Unicode: Introduction and Use”
👉Dr. Harisingh Gour University, Sagar, organized a Hindi workshop under “Hindi Fortnight 2025” from 14–26 September.
The workshop was on “Hindi Unicode: Introduction and Use” for officers and staff. Coordinator Santosh Sohgaura explained the need for Unicode in office work, as old fonts like Krutidev and DevLys often create problems.
Expert Rupendra Chourasia said Unicode is a global system giving unique codes to all language letters, making it useful for integration. Networking Administrator Sachin Singh Gautam demonstrated the practical application of Hindi in e-governance modules and answered participants’ questions interactively.
“Alumni Connect” program
👉Dr. Harisingh Gour University’s Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences organized a lecture under the “Alumni Connect” program. The invited speaker was proud alumnus Dr. Gurudatt Dubey, now a postdoctoral scientist in Spain.
He spoke on “Potentials of RNA Targeted Drug Discovery and BioNMR,” explaining the importance of RNA in modern medicine, bioinformatics in research, and the role of plant chemicals.
He also highlighted chances for international academic collaborations. Dr. Dubey emotionally thanked his teachers, saying his success was due to the department. Many teachers and students attended. Head Dr. Umesh Patil welcomed the guest, and Dr. Sushil Kashyap gave thanks.
“Cleanliness is Service”
👉Dr. Harisingh Gour University celebrated the 54th foundation day of the National Service Scheme with great enthusiasm. Students gave speeches on “Cleanliness is Service” and shared their views.
Coordinator Dr. Sanjay Sharma inspired the youth for nation-building and service. In competitions, Ojashwi Mishra and Shivang Sharma won first prizes, while Anurag and Namita won second prizes.
