Over 150 Universities to Participate
A Major Platform for Sporting Talent
The West Zone Inter-University Kabaddi Tournament will be held in Sagar from November 13 to 18, 2026. Dr. Harisingh Gour University and BTIE College will jointly host the event.
Teams from Five States to Participate
Teams from over 150 universities across Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Goa will take part in the competition. Approximately 2,000 players and sports officials are expected to arrive in Sagar.
Thrills Ranging from Knockout to League Stages.
The tournament will be conducted using a combination of knockout and league formats, in accordance with the rules of the Association of Indian Universities. Teams will be divided into four pools, followed by qualifier and league stages.
Supervision by Official Referees
Winners of the four pools will face the top four teams from the previous year in a qualifier knockout round.
Officiating will be handled by referees from the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India.
Boosting Sagar’s Sporting Identity
Such a major event is expected to give a new identity to sporting activities in Sagar. Interactions among players from various states will also boost enthusiasm for kabaddi among the youth.
