Sagar Watch News/ Due to ongoing LPG gas supply concerns, the administration in Sagar has turned highly active, intensifying inspections and enforcement drives across the city.
Acting on the directions of Rajkumar Khatri, a municipal flying squad conducted surprise inspections at several establishments and initiated action against violations related to property tax, water tax, garbage management fees, shop rent dues, and unauthorized commercial use of residential buildings.
According to the flying squad in charge and Assistant Commissioner Anand Mangal Guru, multiple irregularities were detected during the inspections. The team prepared on-spot reports and initiated legal action under the provisions of the Madhya Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act 1956.
During a raid in Guru Govind Singh Ward, officials found major irregularities at a Gujarati Namkeen factory, including the absence of a trade licence and factory permission.
The operators also failed to produce the water testing report for a tubewell used in food preparation, while the property tax assessment of the factory was found to be lower than the applicable.
The flying squad also inspected a TVS showroom in Bhagwanganj, where property tax assessment was found to be incorrect, and measurement was carried out on the spot to determine the correct tax liability. Meanwhile, Saraswati Marriage Garden cleared pending property tax dues of ₹44,800 during the drive.
