Swadeshi Mela- from December 23, 2025 to January 4, 2026
Sagar Watch News/ The Bhoomi Pujan (groundbreaking ceremony) and inauguration of the fair office for the Swadeshi Mela were ceremonially held on Thursday, December 18, at PTC Ground, Sagar.
Addressing the gathering, Sudhir Dante, Central Region Convenor of Swadeshi Jagran Manch, said that the Swadeshi Mela is not merely a commercial event but a meaningful platform to nurture the cultural, creative and entrepreneurial talents of local youth. He emphasised that national progress can only be achieved through collective self-effort, which is the core spirit behind organising the Swadeshi Mela.

Mela Convenor Dipti Chanderiya shared important information about the historic recovery of the sacred Somnath Jyotirlinga, terming its darshan at the mela a rare and spiritually significant moment. Provincial Convenor Nitin Pataria highlighted the fair’s role in encouraging youth participation and skill development.
Mahakaushal Provincial Media Contact Head Rajkumar Namdev, District Convenor Saurabh Randheliya, Co-Convenors Sunil Sagar and Anjali Dubey, and Department Trainer Ravindra Thakur underlined the importance of such events in strengthening the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and youth self-employment.
Mela Media In-charge Akhilesh Samaiya expressed gratitude to all guests, volunteers and supporters, stating that the Swadeshi Mela is a strong step towards making the nation self-reliant.
Prominent members including Vinay Malaiya, Karan Shrivastava, Siddharth Shukla, Sunita Arihant, Sushmita Thakur, Atul Agrawal and Prashant Jain Payal appealed to citizens to visit the mela in large numbers and actively support the Swadeshi movement.
