Sagar Watch News/ Authorities in Shahgarh have launched a major action against illegal soybean hoarding, registering cases against several trading firms for allegedly stockpiling produce in violation of regulations. Officials said the move aims to prevent potential misuse of the government’s Bhavantar Scheme 2025, which offers price-differential benefits to farmers.
SDM Naveen Singh Thakur informed that the flying squad conducted surprise inspections on November 21, 2025, at shops and warehouses in the Shahgarh Agricultural Produce Market. Multiple firms were found storing soybeans unlawfully, raising concerns of market manipulation and exploitation of the scheme.
Police have registered cases under Sections 316 and 318 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with other relevant provisions.
Firms Named in the FIR:
Collector Sandeep G.R. directed all SDMs and revenue officials to conduct continuous inspections across all market yards and ensure strict action wherever violations are found. He emphasized that farmers must not face any inconvenience, and their procurement process should proceed transparently and as per rules.
