In the Panchayat by-elections 2025, voting was conducted on Tuesday for vacant positions in the three-tier panchayat system. Voting took place for 49 Sarpanch posts and 5 Janpad Panchayat member posts, with a voter turnout of 70.51%.

In Sagar district, the turnout was 74.61%. Notably, nine polling stations in Sagar and nine in Damoh district used the Integrated Polling Booth Management System (IPBMS), with live streaming of the polling process.

Large screens were installed in Sagar, Damoh, and at the State Election Commission office for public viewing. Voters appreciated the paperless process, stating it was quicker and more efficient.

IPBMS was used in four gram panchayats in Sagar district, where voters praised the ease of use. The Commission formed a team to oversee the process, led by Deputy Secretary Dr. Sutesh Shakya and Mukul Gupta, with continuous supervision by Deputy Secretary Sanju Kumari. This marks the first time IPBMS was used for Janpad member elections.
