Samajwadi Party (SP) has changed its candidate from Khajuraho Lok Sabha seat of Madhya Pradesh. SP has given ticket to former MLA Meira Deepak Yadav. 

Earlier on March 30, Dr. Manoj Yadav was declared as a candidate. Two days later, his ticket was canceled and Meira Yadav was fielded. Khajuraho seat has been left by Congress for SP in India alliance. Now Dr. Manoj Yadav has been made the state president of Madhya Pradesh Samajwadi Party.

On Khajuraho seat, Meira Yadav will face BJP state president and MP and candidate VD Sharma. It is noteworthy that Congress has left Khajuraho seat for SP as part of the alliance. 

Congress is contesting elections on 28 out of 29 seats in the state. Voting for Khajuraho seat will be held in the second phase on April 26. Elections are to be held on 7 seats of MP in the second phase of Lok Sabha elections.
