👉Enmity with India is proving costly for this country. He is searching for every drop of water in the scorching heat. According to media reports, whenever Maldives faced shortage of drinking water, it used to get help from India.
Due to the shortage of drinking water in the year 2014, India immediately launched Operation Neer and sent two thousand tonnes of drinking water to Maldives. But this time he still needed China's help.
But ever since the fascination of the new President towards China has increased, the distance between Maldives and India is increasing. For every small and big help, it has to look to China.
Finance Minister has No Money To Fight Election
👉The Finance Minister of the country is not contesting the Lok Sabha elections this time. He said this in response to a question asked during a media house program. According to media reports, he stated that the main reason for not contesting the elections was that he did not have the money to contest the elections.
Presently Finance Minister Sita Raman is a member of the Rajya Sabha from Karnataka. When he was proposed by the BJP President to contest the Lok Sabha elections from somewhere in Andhra Pradesh or Karnataka, he expressed his reluctance to contest the elections citing his problems with the party.
