"All Banks To Monitor Suspicious Cash Withdrawal Or Deposites"

Sagar Watch News/ During elections, various departments of the central government and the state government have to maintain coordination with each other. So that they can keep an eye on the expenditure, smuggling, banned and illegal items made by the candidates and political parties.

The GST department has to keep a strict vigil on the warehouses to prevent stocking of voter-appealing items like sarees, shirts, caps, scarves, white goods, masks, kitchen utensils etc.

According to  suprintendent Of Police Abhishek Tiwari The production, offtake, stock limit of licensed stockists, daily receipts and offtake of retailers of foreign liquor, beer, country liquor have to be monitored from the day the election notification comes into effect till the day of poll. 

Along with this, the opening and closing time of liquor shops also has to be monitored with reference to the production figures of the previous year. Wherever the sales figure reaches 30 percent or more, it indicates the possibility of bulk sales.

Master Trainer Dr. YP Singh said that during the elections, GST teams will be checked at the checkpoints so that without e-way bills, such material can enter the area which can be used to influence the voters by luring them. 

Along with vehicles used for campaigning during elections, sales at petrol pumps will also be monitored.The stock of petrol pumps distributing coupon-based fuel to woo voters during elections should also be audited.

All banks will have to submit daily reports on suspicious withdrawal of cash from any person's bank account during the election period. 

Unusual and suspicious cash withdrawal or deposit of more than Rs 1 lakh in bank account during the election period, whereas there is no such instance of deposit or withdrawal during the last two months. 

Cash deposits or cash withdrawals exceeding Rs 1 lakh from the bank accounts of candidates' dependents should be monitored.

All these instructions were given by Collector and District Election Officer Deepak Arya and Superintendent of Police Abhishek Tiwari by organizing a joint meeting of Central GST, State GST and Lead Bank Manager, reviewing their work and giving necessary instructions.
