Sagar Watch News/ Under the Lok Sabha elections, more than 17 lakh voters of eight assembly constituencies of Sagar district will exercise their franchise at more than 2000 polling stations. Lok Sabha elections will be held in Sagar parliamentary constituency on 7th May, while the counting of votes will take place on 4th June.
Collector and District Election Officer said that under the Lok Sabha elections, five assembly constituencies of Sagar district, Sagar, Bina, Khurai, Surkhi, Narayawali and three assembly constituencies of Vidisha Lok Sabha constituency, Kurwai, Sironj, Shamshabad are included. 17 lakh 38 thousand 36 voters will exercise their franchise in eight assembly constituencies of both the Lok Sabha constituencies.
He said that 9 lakh 11 thousand 465 men, 8 lakh 26 thousand 529 women and 42 other voters will exercise their franchise. All preparations are being made to conduct the Sagar Lok Sabha elections in a free and fair manner.
District Election Officer said that 2074 polling stations have been made in Sagar Lok Sabha constituency, out of which there will be 655 urban polling stations and 1419 rural polling stations.
As soon as the Model Code of Conduct comes into force, all arms licenses will be considered cancelled. Noise Act, Defacement of Property Act Section 144 have been made effective. Compliance with Sarai Act, Section 127-A of the Public Representation Act 1951 related to printers and publishers will be ensured.

As soon as the code of conduct comes into force, under the instructions of the Election Commission, action is being taken to remove posters, banners and wall writings of political parties and others on government property within 24 hours.
Vehicals Not allowed to use Hooters, Name Plates, Becon Lights
Similarly, action is being taken to remove hooters, lights and name plates installed separately on vehicles.
