Bundeli Folk festival-Prahlad Tipanyas bhajan enthralled audience

SagarWatch@ A one-day folk festival of the 26th National Folk Festival organized by Bundeli Folk Dance and Drama Arts Complex Kanara Dev Sagar and in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, was held at Lancer Convent School, Village Ajni.

Maa Saraswati's Vandana was first presented by Gopi Sahu. It was followed by the folk dance Dhimarai, performed by Chunni Lal Rackwar. Kanada dance performed by Pritam Rajak and Ghoomar dance, Chari dance, Kalbeliya dance and Chakri dance was performed by folk artists of Rajasthan. After that, Rai, the famous folk dance of Bundelkhand, was performed.

As a final presentation, Prahlada Singh Tipania, who hailed from Malwa region and honoured with Padma Shri, was presented with the hymns of Kabir. After that, the year of all folk artists passed by the institution was honoured by paying a shriphal memento.
